Assemblyman James Gallagher challenges Newsom Executive Order in Court

Two Republican state assemblymen are challenging an executive order made by Governor Gavin Newsom in court.

The trial of Gallagher and Kiley v. Newsom began at 10 a.m. at the Sutter County Superior Court in Yuba City.

At issue is an executive order No. N-67-20., which is being challenged by Northstate Assembly James Gallagher and Assemblyman Kevin Kiley of Rocklin.

The order required counties to mail all eligible voters vote-by-mail ballots. It also regulates the number of polling places and vote-by-mail drop off locations.
