Yuba City CA – In a joint statement released just moments ago, House Republican Leaders including Speaker Mike Johnson, Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Majority Whip Tom Emmer, enthusiastically endorsed Republican James Gallagher for the U.S. Congress in California’s 1st Congressional District. 

The statement from Speaker Johnson posted on X reads:

“James Gallagher is an America First patriot who will help us continue to deliver safe streets, secure borders, lower costs, a strong economy, and peace through strength - building on the strong legacy left behind by our friend Doug LaMalfa. As an attorney and Assemblyman, James will also help defend the principles that have made America the greatest nation on Earth while supporting our farmers, veterans, and military families. I am proud to ENDORSE James Gallagher for California’s 1st District and look forward to working with him to defend and grow our House Republican majority and CONTINUE our American comeback!”

The endorsement follows the endorsement of President Donald Trump last night.

Assemblyman James Gallagher responded to the recent news stating, “I’m grateful to have such overwhelming support for my campaign from across the country. As I unite the North State during this difficult time of transition, having such strong support from our leaders in Congress is a reminder that this important election is part of something bigger and the future of our country is dependent on our success right here in the North State.”
