Chico, CA – Today, Assemblyman James Gallagher announced receiving the endorsement of the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) in his campaign for California’s 1st Congressional District. The endorsement is a major development in the campaign as PORAC represents over 85,000 public safety members and over 950 associations, making it the largest law enforcement organization in California and the largest statewide association in the nation.

Likely to be a central issue of the campaign, Gallagher has an unmatched record of making public safety a priority as a State Assemblyman.

“Voters put public safety as one of their top issues. The endorsement of PORAC should send a strong message. I’m the only candidate for Congress who is trusted by law enforcement and the men and women who make our community safer. The extremist politicians that are ruining California, like Mike Maguire, have made our state less safe, even siding with serial child molesters when they voted for AB 3234. That should be all the information voters need when they head to cast their vote this election season.” 

In addition to PORAC, Gallagher has been endorsed by every Sheriff and District Attorney in the 1st Congressional District.
